Due to the number of problems people are having getting SBWin 3.0b2 to run, I have decided to permanently remove it from the server and replace it with a previous, and much more stable version of the program (SMD BIN WIN 2.0b-rc2).

I will no longer support version 3.0b2, simply because no one with a recent Windows update are able to run it (even with the hotfix I uploaded to address one of the issues).

So, until the next release, enjoy using probably the most widely used version of SBWin (at the time called SMD BIN WIN). Get it on the ‘Downloads’ page!

A few months ago, I revealed that a hardware failure ruined my development of 3.0 stable. Well, it turns out I was able to completely recover my files. I have decided to resume my work on 3.0 stable. 4.0, however, will be postponed indefinitely, due to lack of time. Look for a new beta release of 3.0 within the next few weeks.

Project G, a multi-purpose file conversion utility is moving along well. Expect a release within the next two months.

SBWin will be merged into this project, and no further updates will be given for SBWin 3.0. The reason for the phasing out of SBWin is that it was running on old technology that is not future proof, and was broken with a recent Windows Vista update. Instead of working around this, a decision was made to move on to a cross platform option.

Complete details on Project G, along with the reveal of its official name will be given within the next month.

Grid Light, a Nintendo DSi web game has been released. The object of the game is to light the grid (Lights Out Clone). Play it by pointing your DSi browser to http://codeisle.com/projects/gridlight.

SBW Classic is an earlier version on SBWin. Although it is older, it should suffice for people having problems with SBWin 3.0b2. Since SBWin 3.0b2 is no longer being developed, I have decided to release this earlier version as a portable app. This is useful for USB sticks, but can also be run directly from the folder, without installation. DualBrowse, the Nintendo DSi virtual browser is online for evaluation. It is currently experimental, so any bugs you may find can be reported in this post. Check it out here: http://codeisle.com/projects/db/

Work on SBWin 4.0 has started, while 3.0 stable is nearly complete. SBWin 4.0 will be cross platform, will be written in .NET/Mono, and will offer all of the features of 3.0, but with better stability, and other enhancements. More details are soon to come. Look for 3.0 stable by the end of the month, and 4.0 within the next few months!
